1.11.2009 The New Helsinki Quartet played in London, at the Wigmore Hall.
The program was Webern 5 Sätze, Janacek 1 and Beethoven op.130 with the Grande Fugue. Concert was sold out. Warm wether, english rain and intensive music created a "Finnish Sauna"-kind of climate to the Great Venue.

 

4.10.2009 The first performance of the String Quartet by Uljas Pulkkis, was a great success in House of Nobility, Helsinki. In the program we had also Webern 5 Sätze and Brahms Piano Quintet with Paavali Jumppanen.

28.9.2009 The New Helsinki Quartet was palying a Beethoven program in Tampere, Finland.

21.8.2009 the NHQ was playing Finnish music in Fuglsang, Danmark (Sallinen, Salonen and Sibelius).

28.6.2009 The Quartet performed in Nafplion Greece

The New Helsinki Quartet just ended Beethoven Cycle in Lahti, Finland. The Quartet performed all the String Quartets and The Grande Fugue in 6 concerts between 8.-17.6.2009.
This huge project was a grate success and we players really enjoyed the time with Beethoven's music and enthusiastic public.
